In brief, I graduated from Emory University School of Medicine and completed residency training in anesthesiology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Following that, I completed a fellowship in Neurosurgical Anesthesia at Johns Hopkins Hospital. After training, I served on active duty in the United States Army. Since leaving the Army, I have been in private practice in anesthesiology in Tallahassee, Florida. While my subspecialty training was in neurosurgical anesthesia, I also have extensive training and experience in cardiac, pediatric, obstetric, and regional anesthesia. During my career to date I have provided anesthesia for more than 70,000 patients. This includes more than 3000 patients undergoing open heart surgical procedures and more than 6000 pediatric patients. I have extensive experience in regional nerve blocks, and in the last 6 years have performed more than 2000 ultrasound guided blocks. I have also performed more than 15,000 epidurals (for obstetric and other procedures).
